Tell us the hunt and we'll lay out scouting trips, coaching, practice and gear, week by week until opening morning.
2. Book a pro who knows the unit
Local guides, including no-tag guides who didn't draw this year and have the season free.
3. Sharpen up with a coach
Calling, glassing, long-range shooting or archery form, virtual or in person.
Here's what's next.
Most hunters don't draw most years. That's how the bonus point system works, and there's still a lot of hunting left.
Bonus point banked
Every unsuccessful application earns a bonus point, which is one more entry in next year's draw. Keep applying.

Arizona draw results
When are Arizona draw results posted?
Arizona runs three draws a year. In 2026, AZGFD posted Elk & Pronghorn results on Feb. 23 and Fall draw results on June 22. Dates change each year, so check AZGFD.
How do I check if I drew?
AZGFD posts draw results only in your AZGFD portal account. HuntsUnited can't see your results; save your applications and bonus points here so your next steps are ready.
What happens if I don't draw?
You earn a bonus point for that species, which gives you an extra chance in future draws. AZGFD also sets aside up to 20% of the tags in many hunts for a bonus pass to applicants with the most points.
Are there leftover tags?
AZGFD sells some leftover tags first-come, first-served after the draw. Some tags never need a draw: AZGFD lists archery-only deer, limited-opportunity elk, mountain lion, bear, archery-only javelina and juniors-only turkey as over-the-counter (nonpermit) tags.
I drew. What should I do first?
Start scouting early, line up a guide or coach who knows your unit, and plan for meat care. Our I Drew flow builds a week-by-week prep plan.
